InvGate IT Management: two ways of implementation:

• Agentless or Zero footprint: does not require any software installation on the workstations. It’s 100% transparent and leaves no trace of its execution. It can easily be integrated to different centralized user authentification technologies, such as: Active Directory, Novell, SAMBA, and OpenLDAP.
• Agent Model: requires software installation on the workstations. This enables you to get down to the smallest detail as to all the information regarding hardware and software on the workstations, as well as report all changes made, and manage PCs and servers (remote access, software deployment, endpoint security, software usage analysis, etc). Agents’ installation is customly automated through centralized structures like Active Directory. Communication between agents and server is encrypted and carried out via HTTP Port 80, which means it does not only avoid opening additional ports, but it also enables you to manage workstations, even when they merely have Internet access, outside the corporate network.
